1988 would close a wonderful chapter in Crossville Football History. It would end a small dynasty that would see Crossville  qualify for the playoffs for 5 consecutive years, win 4 of 5 Area 15 titles, win 4 of 5 Dekalb Co. Championships and win a state championship in 1986 and a total of 47 games in 4 years to just 5 defeats. 1988 would also be head coach Roger Hibbs' last year on the Lion sideline. He would leave Crossville with the most wins (58) of any head coach up to that point. He would only surrender 17 defeats, most of which 13 came his first two seasons. Roger Hibbs is to this day, Crossville's most loved coach, especially by his former players.
