One step closer. What else can be said? Alot ! 1985 was the year the 
championship was built. This team is often overlooked. It was simply
incredible. The attitude for success was laid that season. I salute 
the 85 seniors for the leadership they showed. You were examples to
us all. 
13 wins in a season was at that time best in school history. Still
ranks 2nd all single season record. Only the following season in 1986
would see more victories than the 85 squad. A foundation was laid to
build upon. You are the solid rock that the trophy so proudly rests
on.
