Crossville posted 8 wins in 1960, the most in school history. It also scored 67 points against Cleburne Co.  That is a single game record. This could have easily been the 10-0 season. Two very close heart breaking loses to Boaz and then to Valley Head in a rematch for the Dekalb County Championship game were the only flaws of the season.

The Lions would place 2 players on the ALL STATE TEAM in Thomas Cole and John Cochran. The All Dekalb County Team would have 5 Lions with 2 honorable mentions.

John Cochran would establish himself as one of Crossville's greatest running backs of ALL TIME. He would further cement that reputation one year later.
