The late Thurston "Skin" Johnston told me a few years before he died,
that Buck Yancey was the fastest player he had ever seen at Crossville.
Teammate Merrell Shipp added, "He was so fast, he could outrun a phone
call."
This season would see the Lions play both Collinsville &
Geraldine twice. It also would be the first of only 3 times
in it's history, that Crossville would play Scottsboro.
